Well or cistern where Joab’s messengers intercepted Abner as he returned from pledging allegiance to David in Hebron (2 Sm 3:26). Its site is probably the same as the present ‘Ain Sarah, located about one and a half miles (2.4 kilometers) northwest of Hebron.
